I’m Carole  - 98.1 Hayes FM Radio Presenter

A bit about my musical DJ'ing and presenting journey. Born in Manchester before moving to London with my parents at the age of eight. My love for music began soon after with Tommy Steel's hit single ‘Little White Bull!’ 

At thirteen I started my own vinyl record collection, (collecting thousands) after hearing the song ‘Sally’ sung by Gerry Monroe. When after purchasing this from my local record shop, I actually skipped all the way home, proud as punch and went on to create a collection of thousands of records through many genres and era’s.    

My love for music followed me throughout my school years until at the age of sixteen when I would join my local hospital radio station, Radio Hillingdon, in 1975 for a good five years. 

My experience in local DJ’ing and presenting led me to audition and join Juliana’s International Management Agency in Kensington (still going today) where I contracted for a year before being head hunted by Gerry Coard International Agency Denmark. Here, I would  work as a club DJ (Disc Jockey) in many venues across the country for a few years.

 

With three other cousins Alton Andrews, Red Rose Radio, Gemma Maddox, Canberra Radio (Australia) plus another distant cousin that makes a family of four in the music industry.
